New PC build not starting upon power-on
Hey everyone, welcome to the first post here! I'm working with some PC specs: MOBO: Gigabyte B550M DS3H AC, BIOS F14 CPU, GPU from zotac 1050ti, 32GB DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz, power supply from Coolermaster 750W, DVI display cable (the only cord in the house), and a HyperX Beast 32GB. I'm assisting someone building their first PC, though I haven't done this much recently. We're currently getting a no output issue on the first post. The CPU and PSU were bought today as we originally planned with a 2600 series, even though it's not officially supported. I went for the 5600 because it was officially supported. The motherboard is a BNIB Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist) model, and I think the I/O shield was still in the packaging. I've updated the BIOS to F14 but haven't tried F15 yet—still getting no output. We're using a DVI cable as specified. Could it be the cable itself? I'm planning to swap it with an HDMI cord from my collection, but he's really stressed and talking about selling the PC for an Xbox. I need to stop that idea fast and get this thing running. Thanks for all the advice and support!
