Do your parents really care about flashy LEDs? That doesn't sound like a bad thing. The "G" series Ryzens perform well and are worth learning from, especially if you're limited on GPU power. Whether integrated or stand-alone Wi-Fi is a matter of choice, but it's not a deal-breaker unless your device stops working. From a practical standpoint, it doesn't make much difference beyond the GPU requirement. Apart from that, you managed just fine.
