Hello, I’m looking to assemble a new PC tailored for intensive trading tasks. As a full-time day trader, my machine handles heavy workloads—multiple platforms running simultaneously with live data, chart updates, and constant program execution. I run several applications at once, capture screen recordings during market hours, and maintain at least 30 Chrome tabs open continuously. This setup is dedicated entirely to trading software such as Think or Swim, Scanz, Stocks To Trade, and Etrade Pro. I’m unsure if the components listed here are excessive, especially with a 3950x CPU and 64GB RAM. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some images of my current system to give you an idea of performance:
- Normal load screenshot
- High load spikes during Chrome tabs
- Processes tab showing active programs

If you need further adjustments or specific recommendations, just let me know.

Chrome consumes a lot of memory. Keeping tabs open for extended periods increases usage. Four applications would require about 4/8 per app, which seems sufficient. A 3900 processor might work with 2/4 per app. I’m considering using a lower-end CPU for more RAM rather than extra cores. This configuration handles demanding tasks well except for gaming. It’s quite inefficient for games; I’m unsure if you truly need so much RAM, but adding more is tricky. The system feels more suited for high-end spreadsheet work or compiling programs. PCPartPicker’s list was for a high-end build. This setup would be ideal for top-tier spreadsheet applications or program development. Prices include shipping, taxes, and any available discounts.
