New PC Build
New PC Build
I recently assembled a new PC and after a few weeks of using it for benchmarks or stress tests, my CPU began to throttle immediately. I removed and reinstalled the drivers and BIOS. It seems there might be an issue with the CPU mounting or insufficient power from the PSU. Any suggestions would be helpful.
What is the exact CPU temperature? Which specific cooler model are you referring to?
This feature is expected based on the CPU specifications—it appears frequently in reviews. The TG bracket seems to restrict higher clock averages, likely because it wasn’t tested before installation. It’s unclear if it causes issues during normal operation without a benchmark or stress test.
The device reduces performance (95-101°C)
And the cooler matches the Corsair xc7 rgb elite
I didn't verify without the mount bracket, and the package temperature remains near 50-60°C during idle or low load.
I own the xd5 elite pump from Corsair, along with a 280mm rad equipped with fans and a 240mm extra wide rad also featuring fans.
I'm using distilled water with a biocide additive, avoiding any dyes or ready-made fluids.
If it's airlocked, just your adjustments might resolve the issue. Grab the computer and rotate it slightly through a few axes to see if any bubbles come loose. After that, it's hard to say otherwise—ensure the pump is functioning properly. The power supply is more than sufficient for whatever you're trying to use.
