Hi all :>
This might be the wrong thread but I wasn't sure where else.
I'm setting up a new PC and have an extra internal 3.5 HDD with a lot of my games from my old machine.
Can I transfer all the games onto it and connect it to my new PC without formatting or having everything wiped? There are no essential files like sys 32, Windows, or drivers on this second drive — just game files.
It's not really about downloading; most of the games have save points that let me keep progressing.
Is it just a plug-and-play solution?
Thanks :>

Cloning is feasible, but we wouldn't proceed if the destination system differs. If games come from third-party sources like Steam, you can simply copy the entire app folder. After reinstalling Steam, it will organize your games again. For saves, you need to find them, save them, and restore them later when the game starts, so it recreates the necessary folders. Don't move them beforehand. Many games use your documents folder for saving progress; if not, searching the game's specific settings should locate the saved files. Any games installed directly on the OS, such as DVDs, will require a full reinstall. However, save files can still be kept and accessed later.
