Currently I have a CPU from I7 4790, a GPU of RX 580 with 8GB RAM, DDR3 memory, and a 1080p monitor. These components seem crucial for my upcoming build focused on 1080p gaming and titles like God of War: Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, A Wrinkle in Time, Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth: Wukong, Ghost of Taito, etc. I plan to use this setup for coding and gaming for at least four years. My budget is between 450-500 euros. I’m torn between a Ryzen 5 3600 (around 50 euros) and a Ryzen 5 5600 (about 80 euros). I had the GPUs in mind, so which one would you suggest? Also, what about the RX 5700X, RX 6600X, RX 7600, RX 6700/X, RTX 3060 Ti, and mini (not sure if they’re better)?

I have a few questions too: Where are you based? Because this affects pricing. Are these components meant to be bought separately or included in the prebuilt? CPU: If you plan to use that PC for several years—about four—then the 5600G would be a solid choice. It's still a strong, reasonably new CPU capable of handling most current and upcoming games. GPU: This really hinges on three things: Do you enjoy RayTracing? What kind of games do you typically play? If your game includes local AI, AMD options become limited (though I assume this won't impact you since you're using an AMD card). What graphics settings will you use? I’d recommend the 3070 if you want high settings with an RTX. It’s a powerful GPU that lasts a long time before performance drops significantly, though it might reach end-of-life after four years. The GTX 10-series is coming off the market soon, similar to how the 30-series was phased out. The 3060/ti also follows this trend. If you need ongoing support for many years, go with the RX 7600. This model is from a previous generation and should still get updates long after four years. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, the 6600xt seems reasonable.

I reside in Serbia where the prices are listed in brackets. I’m likely to purchase a prebuilt system using one of these CPUs and buy the GPU separately. This is my first experience with a PC, and I haven’t coded before. I’ll begin in my first year of college. Regarding AI programming, I only noticed it in my fourth year and am still unsure. HTML, C++, Java, and similar topics will be covered earlier. I think I’ll focus on medium or higher-level projects if possible.

The discussion focused mainly on running local models via tools such as Ollama or LM Studio/Msty, though it seems unlikely you'd be completely comfortable with AMD.
