For a cost-effective setup, consider the i5-12400 paired with a B660 board. There are also great offers on the latest Ryzen models. Either option looks solid and offers good value.

Based on your budget, you could get a $250 Ryzen 5600 with a good B550 at $350 or an $12400F i5 paired with the MSI Pro B660M-A DDR4.

I'm searching for the AM4(Zen 3, B550) variant. You can locate used components for many years if something fails. EOL parts often become expensive fast when you need replacements.
