I swapped my previous motherboard for an Intel DH77KC. Everything functions smoothly except when all four RAM modules are installed at once, I hear a beep code (three short tones). All four sticks match perfectly—they’re 4GB DDR3 1600MHz, exactly as the board requires. I’ve tried each stick in a two-stick setup on one channel (the black slots), and they all work fine. However, when only two sticks are placed in the blue slots—the main DIMMs—I still can’t boot. It just gives that three short beep error. But with just two sticks, the system launches without issue. This is puzzling. Has anyone else had this problem? The manual says it should support dual-rank modules, but I’m not sure. The specs mention a dual-rank setup with Nanya 4GB 2Rx8 DDR3 and an RTX 2060. The PSU is a 500W model from Thermaltake.

Pretty sure on Dell 3 beeps is chipset error. Depending on the generation, the beep codes would resemble 1-3-2 for example. Can reference that here. https://www.dell.com/support/article/en-...Beep_Codes A work in progress thread https://warp9-systems.proboards.com/thre...code-beeps with old and newer post codes. I'm sorry, but I should have been more detailed. I don't own a Dell motherboard anymore. I'm not sure why I brought that up since it wasn't important. I'll revise my comment. I began with a Dell SFF 7010 but modified it into what I have now. It's essentially different from the original setup. The board is now an Intel DH77KC. I value your reply to @ShrimpBrime, though the Dell beep codes won't match here. Right now I've restored my PC to the old Dell board and everything functions perfectly. It's the Intel DH77KC board that isn't working well with my RAM.

Page 77 contains the beep codes. It seems to trigger bios recovery when the memory settings aren't ideal. The board appears fine; perhaps only fill two slots if memory isn't at QVL. dh77kc_techprodspec04.pdf
