During my careful check, I saw the protective rubber on the audio cable was punctured and scratched. While I didn’t see a shiny copper or aluminum reflection with the flashlight, I’m still unsure if the damage could affect its safety. I’d like to confirm whether it’s safe to leave it in this condition without covering it with electrical tape, which tends to become sticky over time. Here are some photos for reference.

The photo shows a small imperfection, but it’s not significant. The black color is merely the outer covering. Each wire inside is properly insulated, so removing the outer layer wouldn’t affect the safety or function.

Take off the jacket and check the interior for visible conductors. If the internal wires remain covered by jackets, it should be safe to continue using it. It’s low voltage, so it wouldn’t cause any harm.
