I purchased this machine – it functioned properly at first, though it required roughly 15 seconds to start. It consistently booted afterward. After adding a bigger hard drive and installing Windows 10, the boot process became less reliable, taking about half a minute each time. Once it started, everything seemed normal. There were no sounds during booting, just silence. I suspect the internal speaker is working correctly. How should I tackle this issue? I understand it’s an older model, but it still meets my requirements.

Take the HD out and install a SATA SSD. That will give it a fresh feel and likely speed up boot times even more. For instance, this price is good for a 1TB model: https://a.co/d/4SLj6pW

In Task Manager, the section labeled "Startup Apps..." displays the last BIOS time as an indicator of when the system was last powered off.
