I'm setting up a fresh Windows 8 installation on a new laptop to eliminate unwanted software, so I'm using the official Microsoft media here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...resh-media. The main concern is whether I need my product key. I located it with nirsoft tools and have it prepared, but I’m worried it might already be tied to the previous Windows setup on the same machine. I haven’t performed a clean install before, so I want to make sure everything aligns correctly. Any additional tips before I start? Please let me know if anything seems off about my previous steps. Thank you!

I recently reinstalled my PC using the same key, and everything worked perfectly—just ensure you have all your drivers installed.
