New installation - Blue screen error "CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT"
Hello everyone, I'm just a silent reader here who isn't sure how to proceed. A short background: I collaborated with a friend to set up a new system. The setup went smoothly for about two weeks until a blue screen appeared with the warning: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT. I managed to resolve it by restarting the machine and updating the drivers. Around 24 hours later, the same issue resurfaced with my friend. Now I'm struggling to identify the problem or its root cause. I've tried several fixes already—switched hard drives, updated BIOS, reinstalled Windows, replaced the CPU cooler, used a different graphics card, limited RAM to one bar, changed RAM type, enabled XMP settings, adjusted speeds, and even ran MemTest86 which passed. I also reset the BIOS and checked the SSD with CrystalDiskInfo, but the error keeps appearing. The hardware includes an Intel Core i5 13600KF from ASUS Prime Z790-P (new BIOS), a Gainward RTX 3060 Ti, a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB, Power 11 CM 850W Windows 11 Pro, and a Base 500 system. Everything seems installed correctly. Occasionally the system won't boot or freezes completely before entering the password.
