Hey everyone, I came across Zane Biens' portfolio and discovered some HUD ideas that seem new but aren't entirely original. The Aurora (3/7/14), the one we've seen before: The Hornet (27/1/14), quite similar to what we have now: The Avenger (12/4/14), looking pretty sleek: And the Freelancer (13/4/14), wow... that's a bit different. I'm not sure if it's the final look, but it's interesting nonetheless, especially since they display the ship panels in action rather than just a helmet HUD. There are also some control panel concepts and some unrelated website content, though nothing particularly cutting-edge.

Grrizz seems to be doing well. The Freelancer's design feels more natural, though the Hornet's speed of 350m/s at half power is impressive and a bit surprising.

Based on that artwork, the Aurora moves at 10.4 km/s.

I observed this as well. It could refer to a concept ID or hint at AC v1.1? (64-bit)

This is Zanes stuff so I don't think any of it is in engine, its just concept, all the numbers etc. will just be placeholders.

Thanks for the feedback! It's great to see your Freelancer in good shape. The helmet issue with the HUD is noted, but I'm hoping they can resolve it and fine-tune the displays.

It seems some configurations work well for one setup but not others. One option fits a 5760 x 1080 surround display nicely, while another suits single-screen viewers. A third choice might appear very large on an Oculus Rift.

They might feel uncomfortable with a full surround setup. For those who can't afford it, we should request the ability to adjust the field of view. (They just mentioned this after some requests.)
