Hello everyone. I'm facing a problem with the latest build in Linpack Xtreme. The residuals aren't aligning for a test run of 20. A screenshot is attached. Everything is running at stock speed, no special settings—just normal stock specs. The CPU is locked, MCE disabled, overclocking off, and XMP not applied (RAM is at default 2666MHz). I've run memory tests with memtest86 across four units in the free version, all passing. It seems to be a brand new Windows install, drivers are current, BIOS is up-to-date, and temperatures stay under 88°C even under heavy load. Could this indicate a faulty CPU or motherboard? I'm considering returning both if no response here. My system includes an i5 10400 at stock Crucial Ballistix 3000 MHz DDR4 CL15 ASRock B460M-ITX/AC GTX 1080 Ti (hand me down), plus an Intel 660P 1TB SSD EVGA G2 750W PSU Thermaltake Core V1 SPCC Mini ITX Cube.
It seems the setup isn't quite right. 2666mhz isn't typical for any RAM configuration I've encountered before. It's more likely operating near the standard 2133mhz JEDEC rates. For non-Z-series boards, you usually just set the XMP profile to match what you'd use on a Z-series board and let the BIOS handle the downclocking. Your 3000 / CL15 should perform optimally at 2666 / CL15 with XMP active—this is essential, as it can't exceed 2133mhz without enabling an XMP profile. Regarding the rest of the setup, I'm not sure what's confusing you or why the performance looks so poor.
I configured it to 2666 in the BIOS settings. What I intended by native refers to it not being treated as an overclock. The board accepts native 2133 and 2666. Certain Z-series boards can go up to native 3200, while anything higher is considered an overclock. Regardless, it's indeed operating at 2666. I've used default timings and tried 15-16-16-32 (XMP speeds). There isn't an XMP option in the BIOS, but the result remains consistent.

Are you suggesting that the DRAM Frequency option isn't available in MSI's Click BIOS? It seems odd that 2666mhz would be suitable for a B250 board. Probably meant 2400mhz, since that's the maximum RAM speed supported by any 6th or 7th generation CPU. I understand how these speeds function. What you're referring to is definitely XMP. It looks like ASRock doesn't typically label it as "Load XMP Profile" on their B460 models.
