It includes an FX 6100 with a 3.3GHz processor and an XFX HD 7770 with 1GB of GPU power. Beyond that, I’m not sure much more. Any advice would be really useful.

It appears you're looking at a mid-range gaming PC setup. To learn more, consider:
- Downloading CPU-Z and GPU-Z
- Running a dxdiag from the command prompt
- Visiting Steam's Help > System Information
- Using benchmarking tools such as Furmark, 3DMark, or Unigine benchmarks

For advice, use an anti-static part when working with hardware. Keep your HDD clean by defragging it regularly—weekly or at least monthly. When working with static, use the wrist strap only when necessary. If you're constantly handling equipment, it's better to avoid it. But if you're prone to static buildup, make sure to wear it regularly.
