New GPU warning: VGA card isn't recognized by the UEFI driver.
Updated my Nvidia card to a 6800xt but no display appears. The card lights up and the fans operate normally. I didn’t uninstall the drivers before, though I’m not sure that would fix this issue. I reset the CMOS using the button on the Mobo, and it showed the message “vga card is not supported by UEFI driver.” The Mobo screen went dark, but I can still access BIOS. I attempted to enable CSM from a guide I read, but it didn’t help. Now I’m unable to see the screen even after clearing CMOS, so I’m not sure it will work randomly. Also, I accidentally ran a RAM training once during the boot process. Any suggestions on what might be missing?
I checked the information and found that most recommendations state you don't need to remove it first. You should still be able to access BIOS even without installed drivers.
Both technically accurate. I'd still install the older GPU and use DDU.
It's really frustrating. I dislike how small errors force me to guess if they were the main issue. I can't access bios even after resetting CMOS, so I'm stuck. Maybe the cable connection was off, but I don't know for sure.
Exactly the same as before. In short, what I just did didn’t matter. Sad.
