Without reinstalling Windows and your apps, you can't completely eliminate the possibility of Software problems. I’d consider returning it. It should function perfectly afterward. That’s my opinion—I’d skip troubleshooting efforts. What if there are issues soon? Next month? Proactively return it to the seller.
You are right, and I know the logical answer is to just return it. I find it weird however as the seller is reputable and it was owned by a computer shop so to get BSOD now is out of place and I am more curious about that (especially as the return window is still open)
Consider trying the DDU approach mentioned. It might be a recall, worth a try. I won't be holding my breath.
