For my birthday, I purchased an EVGA RTX 3060 with 12GB RAM. Initially, everything seemed fine, but after a while in Destiny 2, the game would crash and my PC would display a blue screen of death—something new. I've already updated drivers, redownloaded files, cleared temporary data, and boosted fan speeds via Afterburner to address overheating concerns. Anyone have ideas on resolving this issue?

You should still have the receipt for this gift. Next, review your crash logs in the windows settings. After locating them, search the associated filenames online; this can help pinpoint the source of the issue. It might also indicate other components are malfunctioning or that your system is experiencing minor problems. When you reinstalled the drivers, did you use DDU to ensure a clean GPU driver setup?

Replace the GPU (possibly check the connections), reattach the PCIe power cable (perhaps switch the PCIe adapter if available), how are your temperatures? Which PSU is used? Do you have an OC? Edited May 7, 2023 by leclod

Returns should only be considered as a final option. I'm checking for crash logs right now, and I've made sure to reinstall all the drivers in GeForce Experience.

I’ll take care of it! The current idle temperatures are at 45°C, the PSU is a semi-modular Cooler Master 700W bronze unit, and I’m not completely clear on what you’re referring to by “oc.”

oc, if you've tweaked, overclocked anything, risking unstability... I'd prefer your full load temps, cpu and gpu Edited May 7, 2023 by leclod

I haven't increased any settings, unsure about my confidence or system capabilities
