New GPU doesn't work
I bought a used Galax RTX 3070 from a Facebook Marketplace group, but faced an issue. It functioned correctly for a day after installation. When I shut it down and tried to restart, the computer wouldn’t boot, with no lights or sounds. Removing the PCIe cable allowed it to start normally, though the GPU fans didn’t spin. The seller mentioned a short to the GPU and suggested checking the PSU, which led me to replace my power supply. They offered a 30-day guarantee, but the same problem occurred: the GPU worked on the first and second boot, yet after the second restart, the system wouldn’t restart again. This time, I had to either remove the PCIe cable or the GPU. Each time I turned it back on, a strange click was heard from the power supply. The seller later claimed the short might be due to the motherboard, but when I reinstalled my old Zotac 1050 Ti, everything worked fine. Someone could please clarify what’s wrong with the GPU?
you're asking about the specific connection you're using for the PC, whether it's a port or an extension.
Do you have the BIOS updated for your motherboard? Are you connecting it with a display port video cable or HDMI?

Did you resolve your issue? Your PC doesn't start with the GPU installed, yet it functions without one.
