New GPU causes crashes in green screen applications.
I attempted to install IObit but my computer strongly claimed it was malicious software. Some users reported it sometimes sets incorrect device drivers, leading to major problems. I think I’ll avoid that option. Updating chipset drivers would be ideal, though I’m having trouble getting it to work from the manufacturer’s site for my motherboard. When I try to install, it just shows a loading bar briefly before disappearing. What’s going on? Is there another method to update my chipset drivers? Also, my PC crashed again about 20 minutes ago, so the issue seems unresolved.
What security tools are installed? Driver Booster is not a threat. Installing incorrect drivers has occurred occasionally on very old systems using outdated versions of Driver Booster, but this situation no longer applies.
