I assembled my system and wanted to confirm the essentials are working. I installed the CPU, cooler, and RAM, but nothing else. Connected the monitor via the DP port; it turned on and showed two red error codes before stopping at "Ad." This suggested an issue with booting the operating system. The monitor displayed "VGA" status despite the error. I checked memory configurations—two sticks of RAM worked—but the CPU still didn’t respond. The bottom LED lit up "VGA," indicating it was expecting a video signal. I tried resetting the CMOS by unplugging the CPU, but couldn’t determine further steps. Am I missing something? Could my motherboard be defective or do I have a DoA unit? Both seem possible.
First step would be to perform a BIOS flashback to refresh the BIOS settings. The 48GB DIMMs you're using need certain BIOS tweaks to work properly and remain stable; otherwise it might crash before entering the BIOS if an outdated version is still in use. I've also noticed cases where specific BIOS revisions cause the iGPU to behave incorrectly, which helps eliminate that possibility.

No display appears. A2 indicates a non-functional boot device.
