Hello! I'm working on creating a new range of gaming desks and would value your thoughts. Which features should be important for a gaming desk? What aspects of my current setup do you find useful or problematic? And what would an ideal gaming environment look like to you? Your feedback would be really helpful!

For me, the key is finding an industrial design that isn’t a Transformer had a baby with a stealth fighter. Or take a look at what ASUS and MSI use for their gaming lineup, and quickly discard it. But if you’re looking at something to consider, https://secretlab.co/pages/magnus-pro is likely the closest match to my ideal desk. I would have chosen it, but it wasn’t available in the size I needed.

I use an old wooden dining room table I found at a second-hand store. I believe it was worth around fifty dollars.
My main idea would be a modular block system that lets you attach items like monitors, microphones, cameras, and speaker stands without harming the desk. You could replace parts by drilling holes if necessary.

Thank you for your questions. Regarding cable management, there are no specific preferences noted. As for a sit/stand desk, it would be something you might consider.

I don't have specific wants. I rely on a table. Others manage cables carefully. If you designed it modularly, it would be appreciated if different configurations could be supported. Remember, some users place their computers on the left, others on the right, and some beneath them, etc.

Besides the term "gaming" and a more expensive version, what aspects define a "gaming desk"? My existing desk comes from my father, dating back to some time in the past decade. It will soon be swapped for one from my former employer, which is only marginally newer.

My workspace is a basic 2 1/2 ' by 4' table with a shelf below. It lacks a back and only has an 8" wide plastic drawer from an Amazon product that I placed under the front edge.
I was allowed to take it from the waste pile after a colleague damaged it while trying to move it. It’s packed with my PC, monitor, books, etc.
I added some metal "L" brackets underneath to stabilize everything. It’s now much more stable. About 25 years have passed since then. The top still needs sanding and sealing. This is for a summer/outdoor project.
I’m working on reinforcement so I can attach an extra VESA monitor to the back edge. Since many people use multiple monitors, I want a design that makes it easy to securely mount at least two (preferably three) fully articulated VESA units.
There’s no need for drilling holes or buying special accessories related to the desk.
Also, please don’t mention any claim about the desk supporting AI.

I own a FlexiSpot E7 PRO frame and a butcher block top I acquired at the nearby lumber yard. I sanded and stained the top dark gray, then added some finishing to highlight the grain. I also have a Grovemade Medium desk pad in Light Gray. It looks great!

The gaming desk offers full personalization options. You can position monitors freely and install accessories like a headphone holder directly. The exact functionality remains undisclosed at this time.

Your gaming desk is designed to be robust and highly adaptable, offering full flexibility for personalization, such as adjusting the monitor setup. You can securely attach any accessories you prefer.
