New CPU looking for a suitable motherboard
Hi everyone, I've been feeling a bit frustrated with my computer's performance lately. I've been researching and looking for the best possible upgrades within a budget of 250 to 300 euros. Based on what I found, here are the top choices:
CPU: i3-12100f
PSU: Seasonic G12 GM 750W Gold Certified
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B660M-K D4
Current GPU: RX 580 8GB
I understand my GPU isn't great for modern games, especially at 1440p, but I'm planning to switch to 1080p unless I decide to go higher. If I ever want to play in 1440p, I hope these upgrades will support a RTX 3060TI or RTX 4060. What do you all think about these options? Let me know your thoughts!

Right away, I wouldn’t even think about a 580 anymore. Even if you choose to buy secondhand, there are much better alternatives now.

Are you currently using an ssd drive? What amount of ram do you have? Is this mainly a gaming setup? If you lack an ssd and have at least 16gb of ram, it would be wise to consider those upgrades first. Save your budget for a better gpu—something like a 3060 or 4060 would be preferable over what you already have. On the amd side, check out the rx 6600 or higher models. You could always upgrade the cpu later if needed.
