New CPU and BIOS version installed, but the dual GPU isn't functioning properly.
According to their website, the 5950x functioned with BIOS revision F2 after an upgrade (my original version had F3, and now Hs F7a). I’m concerned it might lose performance if I revert to an older revision, but if no other options exist, I might consider trying it. I’m open to relocating the M.2 drive if there are three available slots.
Usually the biggest gains from BIOS updates came when Ryzen was first released. By the time we reached the Ryzen 5000 line, you were already quite advanced on the AM4 platform, and unless you're experiencing problems, newer BIOS versions haven't really boosted performance. Some updates did help with Ryzen 1000 and 2000, but for the 3000 series there weren't significant improvements, so I wouldn't push for those changes. In short, it's usually smarter to stick with BIOS unless you have a specific reason or issue.
I didn’t run into any problems with revision F3. The system worked smoothly; I usually only update the BIOS when necessary, but seeing the performance boost from the 5000 series made me think it might have been an error.
Usually I don’t handle GPU bios or firmware, not since a while ago.
This might be the reason, unless your device has an actual issue, just let the BIOS stay alone.
