NEW CONSTRUCTION AVAILABLE** FOR ASUS Z-170-AR - Overclocking Not Working!
When I started the machine for the first time since my build (last night until this morning), I didn’t modify any settings in the BIOS. There’s no operating system installed, and all drivers aren’t configured—just when I opened the BIOS to adjust the date and time, everything seemed normal, and I exited. After rebooting, it now displays an overclocking failure message and only allows access to the BIOS. I’ve restored the BIOS to its original settings, but it still doesn’t work. The current BIOS version is 1801 x64, and the ME FW version is 11.0.0.1168. I have Windows 10 installed on a CD-ROM drive, but I’m unable to boot from it. Assistance would be appreciated. Suggestions welcome. I plan to include my entire build here.
Update the BIOS to the newest version. Remove the coin cell from the motherboard to reset CMOS. Apply BIOS settings that include optimized defaults. Verify RAM placement follows the recommended configuration—2,4 or 1,3—or attempt a boot with just one module installed.
