New construction after several decades
Checking B760 boards, I'm confirming the standard header needed for a Type-C front I/O.
Type c would correspond to USB 3.2 generation 2 and subsequent standards.
You might notice some AMD-preferred names? Check the benchmarks for both ray tracing and rasterization here: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Review: Mainstream Ada Arrives Comparable to the RTX 3080 for $100 less and featuring DLSS 3. RTX means frames per second at 1080p: 4070 - 112 fps 6800XT - 91 fps No RT 1080p mean: 4070 - 138 fps 6800XT - 128 fps
Looking at the performance figures from Tom’s Hardware, the 6800 XT comes just a bit above the 4070. The difference isn’t huge, but since I could pick either a 4070 for $599 or a 6800 XT for $499, I went with the latter. If you’re gaming or using apps that favor RT, Nvidia is the better option… but for saving about 16-17% in cost, it’s still worth considering.
