Hello! I worked on assembling a new PC for my mom. It came with a B650I AX motherboard and a Ryzen 5 7600X in the Fractal Design Terra model. Everything seemed fine until the first boot. The screen displayed an error about changing the CPU and updating the firmware, even though the board was brand new. I couldn't press Y to proceed because the keyboard wasn't responding despite being connected. After some troubleshooting, I had to detach the DisplayPort cable, wait 3 seconds before plugging in the DP cable, and only then turn it on. Windows installed without issues until after the final step, when the PC started looping—showing motherboard logos with no spinning circle, turning black, and repeating endlessly. The keyboard stopped working even when I inserted the DP cable. To get into BIOS, I had to power it up quickly before it booted too far. I’m wondering if the motherboard is faulty. Since my old 1070Ti graphics card still works, it’s possible something else is wrong. Should I try updating the BIOS or attempt a different solution before sending it back for replacement? Thanks!

Attempted to lower PCIe speed to Gen 3.0? This might resolve your problem.
