I require assistance with running MW. I recently acquired a new PC, featuring a Ryzen 3200G processor, GTX 1660 graphics card, and 8GB of RAM. While I acknowledge that performance will be limited by this configuration, I am experiencing severely low frame rates, frequently dropping to 15 FPS and resulting in game crashes following freezes. I have optimized settings by reducing them to the lowest possible levels and setting the render resolution to 80, yet these measures have not resolved the issue. I believe better performance should be attainable given my hardware specifications. A crucial detail: My monitor is directly connected to the graphics card, not the motherboard’s integrated GPU.

There are two issues with the RAM: running in single channel mode due to a single stick significantly impacts performance, and the optimal configuration for 8GB is a matched 2x4GB kit. Similarly, the ideal for 16GB is a matched 2x8GB pair. You are utilizing 2400MHz RAM, which is particularly beneficial for Ryzen processors compared to Intel.

Are you utilizing monitoring software to track hardware utilization, and if so, which game consistently causes crashes?

On Modern Warfare, my GPU is consistently near 100% utilization alongside my CPU. I have another machine with a Ryzen 2600X and RX580, where games run smoothly at maximum settings, with both GPU and CPU usage near 100%. Therefore, I suspect the problem isn't resource utilization itself.

Do you have a single 8GB memory stick, or two?

Two issues exist with the RAM: a single stick forces single-channel operation, which degrades performance. For 8GB, a matched pair of 2x4GB sticks is recommended. Similarly, for 16GB, a matched pair of 2x8GB sticks is ideal. You are utilizing 2400MHz RAM, and Ryzen systems particularly benefit from faster memory speeds compared to Intel processors.
