Hello, I just received some new components to upgrade my PC, but the machine won’t start or boot up. I have an MSI x370 gaming pro carbon, a Ryzen 7 2700X, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16GB 3000MHz, and an MSI Armour MK2 Radeon RX570 GPU. We’ve tried all the usual fixes, but nothing works. Any suggestions?
It's feasible if your motherboard uses a 300 series chipset, as the BIOS might require an update. However, it seems the board doesn't support BIOS flashback, meaning you'll likely need a Ryzen processor from an earlier generation to fix the issue. Someone else might have better advice.
All connections are secure, everything lights up and the fans start working. My Corsair AX 750 seems fine for my system. The EZ debug indicators on the motherboard are off, which means there are no issues with any parts. I’m hoping this clears things up.
The board should accommodate 2Gen Ryzen as described, though some users suggest a BIOS update might be necessary for compatibility.
Thanks! I'll check out obtaining a first-generation Ryzen processor to upgrade the motherboard BIOS.
Upgrading the motherboard usually counts as a full hardware modification and activates the system if you have an original equipment manufacturer license.
