New components maintain green screen effects during CPU stress tests
I collected every part of the rog eva 02 and during a stress test the CPU shows a green screen of death. I’m concerned it might be the motherboard since it came from a new box and only green screens when the CPU is under heavy load. It’s running at 1300kf.
It's green since you're using beta Insider software. Did you know beta versions often have issues? 1. Upgrade to a stable release; Windows 11 23h2 seems the newest version I believe. 2. Are you using identical SSDs and the same Windows installation from another machine? Consider reinstalling Windows but back up your files beforehand, in case it causes problems.
What are the complete details about the machine? We require more information than just the motherboard and the 13th generation CPU. Also, we need to know the RAM type, if XMP is activated, the BIOS version, the cooling solution, etc. It’s best to reinstall Windows to eliminate the Windows Insider install, which can lead to problems like this. Moving Windows updates forward has often been inconsistent—though it functions better than some admit, it isn’t flawless. When issues appear early, a reinstall should be your initial action.
Updated BIOS to 1801, installed Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM. Motherboard model Z790 Hero EVA 02, GPU from Maximus.
