appears quite appealing. appreciate the details. i’m hoping more people notice this and share their 3700x outcomes here for a clear comparison. 5800 felt a bit expensive in my view, so i’m curious about how the newest 3700x performs but wouldn’t rule out trying 3800x since it’s only about 30 euros more. I found it on sale just £10 above the 3700x version. I wasn’t expecting an upgrade, but glad I did. I keep the CPU at stock settings with a 0.050v negative offset in BIOS. Reduced temperatures by 6-9°C under load using a 360aio and boosted all cores individually to 4500/4550—this works well for me. Here’s a snippet from hwinfo after 10 hours of normal use.
Transitioned to CPU designs, motherboard configurations, and memory systems.
Sorry, I wasn't sure if it was the right place because it isn't a tech support case but rather a general chat about new silicon for these chips. Still, it's helpful to have this info.
Hello everyone, I have my 3700x in October. I haven't pushed it too hard for overclocking yet, but I achieved 1,2825v and 4,35 GHZ across all cores. Temperatures were around 55-60°C during Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay. When I ran OCCT for 30 minutes, it hit 70°C. I think I can get even better if I try higher frequencies, though these settings seem stable. No problems during testing on R20/OCCT or just playing.
