All components were bought in perfect condition
i9 14700K
ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero
G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series (Intel XMP 3.0) DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 6400MT/s
HX1500i
The power supply has a working connection, the HX1000i fails to boot, and the brand new HX1500i also cannot start the PC. Both tested with a paperclip and both managed to jump-start. Why does the semi-modular model work while the fully modular one does not?

Did you link both ATX connectors in the bottom right to the power supply? The 24-pin ATX connector on the motherboard is divided into two parts—one 10-pin and another 18-pin.

Also, connect the two 8-pin EPS/CPU connectors to the motherboard and PSU. Make sure you don't use cables from different power supplies, as they might not work together.

Capture some images of the connections, perhaps revealing any unusual issues such as defective connectors or similar. Upload to imgur.com. Check for any Q-code displayed on the motherboard.
