Hello everyone,

I’m setting up my initial PC and need advice on selecting the optimal GPU for iRacing with triple 1440p displays. Since I’m not very familiar with tech details, I want to ensure I pick a card that delivers smooth performance at high settings and reliable frame rates. My budget for the GPU is under $1,500, and I’d like to purchase it immediately.

Here’s what I have so far:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 2TB NVMe PCIe 4.0

I’ve been looking at the Asus TUF GAMING OC Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB, but it’s listed starting at $1,538.88+, which feels quite steep for an older model. Is this cost justified given the performance, or is there a more affordable choice within my budget? Why does it still seem so pricey?

As this is my first build, any recommendations on suitable options would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
If you're in the USA, you can check this out:

You should also consider matching this PSU to your setup:
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zF...ll...50gl-pcie5
With the remaining budget, you might also upgrade the CPU to a 7800X3D.

GPU costs are currently quite low, but if you wait a few weeks, it might be beneficial, especially considering the availability of the RX 9070 XT and RTX 5070 Ti.

It depends on your preference for ray tracing or not. The main choices would indeed be the 4090.
