Hi Team, I am trying my first Mini ITX build with an Asrock A520M-ITX/ac and all parts from the official list. There is no graphics card on this setup; it's actually my first time building using a CPU instead of one since I got the Ryzen 5600G for my APU. What is going wrong here? When I press the power button, nothing happens. But when I unplug the main power cord and then plug that into the CPU socket before pressing the on button, lights turn on and the fan starts spinning. Now I think it might be a bad power supply unit (PSU), but I checked with a multimeter and measured the voltage on the pins for the CPU cable; they show 12 volts as expected. I looked at that troubleshooting thread online too and most of my advice seems to fit here, but I have two worries: this is my very first build ever using just one stick of RAM, so the motherboard manual didn't explain where to put it there, does that matter? The only thing I haven't done yet is a CMOS or BIOS reset. Would that help, or could the problem be something else? Thanks, Matt.

I am starting my first Mini ITX build using an Asus A520M-ITX/ac and all parts from the official list. There is no graphics card here; this is my very first build where I use a chip instead of a traditional CPU... Ryzen 5600G When asking for help on a troubleshooting post, it's normal to share your full system details. Please write down your specs like this: Processor: Cooler: Motherboard: RAM: SSD/HDD: Graphics Card: Power Supply: Case: Operating System: Monitor: Also tell me how old the power supply is besides its brand and model name. Tell me what version of BIOS my motherboard has right now. Asus A520M-ITX/ac + Ryzen 5600G You probably want to check a sticker on your board, which would start with P... If you got your motherboard shipped with BIOS version P1.60, look for that exact moniker on the sticker or the box it came in.

Here is what happened with my PC parts:
I got a Ryzen 5600G CPU and put it in a Thermalright cooler called AXP90 X47.
My motherboard came from Asrock, model A520M-ITX/ac.
I used some RAM from Kingston (specifically KVR32N22D8/32), which is 16GB of memory.
For storage, I bought a big SSD and an HDD from Corsair, both models being the MP600 Elite 1TB. One uses M.2 slots for fast data like NVMe, while the other is likely just the standard SATA drive.
I also had some power supplies plugged in: one was an Xindongli unit with 400HDL wattage and a modular design that fits ITX boards. I did not get a graphics card because it wasn't included or needed for my current setup.
My power line is from a unit called 400w Modular Flex, which also goes under an A09 HTPC chassis. The computer software on this thing will be Windows 11.
I have a monitor that I am sure is multiple screens working together, but it looks like the brand is Everything and they are all new ones. However, when I looked at the parts closely, there were no stickers showing up with BIOS information for me to see. Even the sticker on the original box didn't list any details about how to get this info out of the machine itself.
