Hi there
I had a Core i5-4690K running Windows 10 on an MSI Z97iAC mobo, which I've upgraded using a brand new Gigabyte A520iAC with NVME M2 SSD with a used Ryzen 5 5600 and brand new (from a Chinese eBay seller) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 2 x 16Gb, re-using the case and PSU, SATA SSD with an upt to date Windows 10 on it, and a NZXT Kraken 120 cooler I had hanging about.
I can get it to POST, and all seems fine, but I can't get it to boot. Have downloaded and installed latest BIOS from Gigabyte.
I'm re-using my Sandisk SATA SSD with the latest Windows 10 on it, and a brand new NVME M2 SSD - it'll go to 'Starting Windows Repair' but then reboots and goes to a black screen.
If I disconnect the SATA SSD and try booting from a usb stick, it just goes round in circles, generally gives me a non-reponsive boot menu/splash screen, or black screen, and needs a CMOS reset to get back to POST.
I've tried using my retail Windows 10 USB installation stick, a Rufus-created Windows 10 (ISO downloaded from the Microsft site) usb2 boot stick, a Rufus-created Windows 11 (ISO downloaded from the Microsoft site) usb3 boot stick, even a Windows 7 installation CD (which gets to Starting Windows but never does)!
I have SecureBoot/FastBoot switched off, I switched fTPM2.0 off when first powered up and haven't been asked since, CMS is enabled, I've set the USB stick to be priority. Otherwise everything is set to default.
Now I'm suspecting the memory is duff, not sure if you can test it from the BIOS? I've ordered brand new 2 x 8Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 from Amazon so will try that.
Tearing my hair out! Any ideas?

Test using 1 stick of RAM?
Enable XMP profile on the RAM in BIOS?
What is the brand and model of the PSU?

Hello - I downloaded MemTest86 and made a bootable USB, but it failed the test. I removed one of the sticks and it passed, booting into Windows 10 and fixing itself. Both sticks are now back, and I've ordered replacements. Installing Windows 11 was a bit tricky; it didn't pass the hardware check without SecureBoot. After adjusting it in BIOS, it stopped finding any bootable drives, so I used the Win11 USB2 stick I created with Rufus. Now everything is working properly - thanks!
