Built this PC for my photographer fiance—it’s really sluggish, especially with videos and Photoshop. It freezes during audio playback. I’m trying to fix it but haven’t seen high temperatures. Sometimes it won’t boot unless I power cycle the board. Any advice?

What is the BIOS version for your motherboard?
Are there any issues with the 1000w power supply Apevia?
If you're not sure about the PSU model, check the side panels for labels.
How old is this unit?
Do you notice any high temperatures when the problem occurs?

The question mark came from hearing about Apevia, bios 4622. I was thinking 40's 37-42, but I don't know the case model. The power button is on the glass, and it has magnetic mesh dust filters. The power button can be moved and placed in different orientations. Does that help?

Are you asking if you set up Windows recently, about two weeks back, or do you check disk activity in Task Manager?

Yeah but it's just 30% usage, it doesn't increase or anything like that, also occasionally it won't boot after resetting, probably more than a month—maybe two months for the installation and upgrade over Christmas.

Observe quietly without making assumptions. Try different approaches until you notice something consistent. Avoid jumping to conclusions; search for recurring patterns.
