The site says there are no problems, but I’m trying to get more details before he starts purchasing parts. This is what I’ve come up with—just let me know if you have any thoughts, thanks!
The main goal of this PC is unclear. Are there any secondary objectives mentioned? Is the $1200 figure the highest amount possible for all components? If you require 64 GB of RAM, consider purchasing two 32 GB units instead of separate kits. Would you like to skip drives altogether? You might save $100 by using an air cooler. 100% depends on its intended purpose.
Currently, without knowing it's a poor build, it's a waste of money on appearance.
If you purchase one 2X memory set in a matching pair, the 4060 is a poor value for the cost, especially considering the high price on the CPU cooler and how slow memory affects AMD processor speed.
EDIT no drive listed.
There seems to be uncertainty about the intended purposes of your friend's PC, but if gaming is involved, this product could be suitable. Additionally, it appears there is no storage component in the current build.
