New Build - Asus Motherboard Yellow Light Issue
New Build - Asus Motherboard Yellow Light Issue
Hello Everyone,
I have mostly assembled the system, but when it starts up all colors vanish except for the yellow light. Initially I thought the issue was with the RAM, but now I see it’s actually related to the Asus setup (32gx2 @4800mhz) and seems to function properly.
I checked again today and it looks like the light is coming from the VGA section of the board, which doesn’t make sense since I connected it directly to the monitor via HDMI. I’m wondering if swapping out the old HDMI cable for a new one might help.
Since I’ve built nearly everything myself, I’d like to troubleshoot on my own to better understand what’s happening and feel accomplished completing this independently.
Also, it might be that I haven’t installed Windows yet, which could affect the BIOS update.
I’ll send a photo of the light once I’m back from work.
Thank you for your feedback!

All motherboards feature a LED indicator (VGA light) near the 16-pin video connector, which illuminates when there’s a problem with your graphics card or other video output device. The light is typically red, though it can be green or yellow based on your system's specific model.
Hey everyone,
Problem fixed, you might think I'm a bit confused about this, but it's okay 😄
The yellow light was actually the boot light, and after installing Windows 11, everything worked perfectly!
