Hello everyone,
I just created a new build, everything seems properly connected except for the display. Below are the components that are working and those that aren’t.

The AIO fans are functioning, but the other three fans on the case spin during startup and then stop. The RGB lights on the fans operate correctly.
The GPU indicator is red, and when I press the power button, the PC turns off and everything works as expected from the GPU side.
However, the LEDs on the motherboard for the bugs are not lighting up, and I’m confused about why.
The motherboard is brand new. I installed a BIOS update via the USB stick on the back and reset the CMOS.

Regarding the components:
- Asus ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming Wi-Fi
- Intel 14700K
- 32GB RAM compatible with the board
- 1000W PSU
- Asus ROG Strix 4070Ti Super
- 2 MBs for storage (could it be I have the M2 drives in the wrong connections? There are four as per the manual, and I placed the two closest ones together?)

The GPU cables are new, and everything is connected to the monitor, but there’s still no display.
Thank you for your time.

Is the monitor connected to the motherboard or the GPU? Confirm it's connected to the GPU. You might consider briefly disconnecting the GPU and connecting to the board to check if other components function properly before proceeding.

I attempted both approaches but encountered the same issue of short circuits. Could a misplaced fan or a tiny USB3.0 cable disrupt the electrical cycle?

Attempting to access the GPU and checking for integrated graphics functionality. If unsuccessful, consider disconnecting the CMOS battery while the system remains unplugged to reset BIOS settings. Keep the GPU connected. If problems persist, you might attempt a breadboard setup by removing the board, connecting only RAM, CPU, and power supply, and shorting the power pins with a screwdriver.

Silly question that came up too. Did you also plug in the CPU power connections at the top?

Thank you again, yes I checked if I should plug in one or both of the CPU power cables. I plan to attempt the breadboarding method today.

I would connect both in to be sure.
