New build advice for AdviceUpcoming.
Hi! This is my first attempt at building a PC, so please let me know if I've misunderstood anything.
I'm checking whether this configuration will work well together or if there are any compatibility issues, especially since some parts are from brands I'm planning to purchase.
I'm not very experienced with computers, so I'm open to feedback from others.
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Graphics: radeon rx 7900 xtx (Nitro+, also mentioned RX 7900 XTX Vapour-X 24gb)
Memory: Teamgroup T-Force Vulcan 32gb (2x16gb) DDR5 (FLBD532G6400HC32ADC01)
Benchmark Board: ASRock X670E Steel Legend
Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L
I usually avoid the RTX 4090 because of its cost, but I think the RX 7900 xtx is a solid alternative.
Please let me know if I've overlooked anything or if you need more details in future replies.
This would be a better fit for an 850W unit:

I don’t have a precise budget but I’d estimate around £1500 to £2000.
I’m based in the United Kingdom.
I was thinking of purchasing some or most of the components from Amazon because it’s a bit more affordable and convenient for me. I’ll also check other options.
I understand I can likely find most parts on their official sites, but they tend to be quite expensive there.
I currently have a PC that isn’t ideal, so I was hoping to verify compatibility before buying everything together—except the CPU cooler, which I already own.
My main goal is gaming, which is why I’m focusing on getting the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
I don’t really have a secondary purpose other than watching movies.
You need a case.
You need a power supply.
You need at least one drive.
If you intend to use your existing power supply, drives, and case, tell us what they are....brand name, model, age.
How long have you been using your existing liquid cooler?
my issue involves the cooler master masterbox 520 (just a month old)
my power supply is the iChoose Limited 850W (probably the brand name) (10 months old)
my m.2's are important p3 plus 1tb and 4tb (10 months ago)
i've been using my current liquid cooler for 2 months now
i'm sorry for making you have to ask these questions, i'm not very experienced with this stuff.
The power supply is listed at 35 pounds on Amazon UK. Most people might scoff if you need it with a high-powered CPU, even though it has an 850 watt rating. What made you pick this RAM? Tell me about your favorite games and the settings you prefer.
This power supply is extremely poor quality. With 46A at 12V it's only a 550W model, which is quite low. It has very weak voltage regulation and lacks many safety features. I wouldn't suggest using it in any system that requires a dedicated GPU. The RAM you select should be compatible with Intel, preferably ones that support AMD EXPO profiles.
A more appropriate 850W unit would be the Thermaltake Toughpower PF3 850 W, fully modular ATX power supply with platinum certification.
