Does this appear to be a fairly well-rounded configuration considering current trends? I've assembled systems before, but I haven't focused much on the latest developments over the past few years.
What performance outcomes can you anticipate with this setup?

Reasonable suggestion. I’m not entirely clear on the 2 2TB drives, but it seems larger is preferable given the limited M.2 slots.
Performance-wise, it’s quite close for GPU power. The 4070Ti Super, 4080/Super, 7900XTX and 4090 stand out most. Nvidia cards excel with upscaling and ray tracing, while AMD offers similar results in standard rasterization.
Your monitor selection could be fine-tuned. Scroll down to view the tested options.

My thoughts:
Great gaming results thanks to the x3d chipset.
The main drawback is that any other performance would be superior with the base 7700x.
AIO coolers aren't permanent; expect to replace it around five years from now.
A decent air cooler would handle the task at a fraction of the cost.
A single 4tb M.2 drive offers similar functionality, but having just one C drive makes storage management easier.

Changed the monitor and thanked the list for the suggestions. Combined the storage into one 4TB drive. Aiming for high performance without spending over 2k on a 4090.

I prefer having split drives since Windows can run on one while games and other tasks use the other. If one fails, you won’t lose everything. The 980 pro models are decent but a bit expensive for a gaming rig. The case isn’t very fan-friendly, so you’d need to purchase more. The cooler seems overpriced. The headset feels too costly, though I’m not an audiophile, so I can’t comment much on that. Upgrading by about $50 would give a faster build and better performance, possibly saving some money on the GPU while keeping the color scheme in mind.

I've adjusted the storage layout by splitting drives, as I prefer having my OS on its own drive. Noted that I likely don't require much space, so I opted for two smaller, higher-quality drives.
Headphones are no longer needed since they're not essential.
Currently, I don't play many games with ray tracing, so I believe upgrading to a faster rasterizer would be more beneficial. I'm considering moving the 7900 XT to a 7900 XTX. Would you think pairing the 7800X3D with the 7900 XTX is a good idea?
