I acquired a fresh ASUS case and motherboard for my setup. Now it won’t boot properly. A yellow DRAM indicator flashes once then remains active. My ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming board is brand new. I’ve tested everything—power, BIOS, CPU, RAM (multiple sticks in various configurations). The RAM used is Crucial Vengeance CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 version 4.32. Two old sticks from my previous system and two new ones from the same brand were added. I also tried a known good Samsung RAM stick (DDR4 3200) with a Ryzen 5 Pro 5650G CPU, which worked before. I updated the BIOS to the latest version from ASUS. Removed the battery and cleared CMOS. Reached out to ASUS support who only provided a case number and options for repair or returning it as dead. Is there anything missing in my process that could delay fixing this for another week?

It's possible the two new RAM sticks you purchased aren't identical, even if they appear the same on any retailer site. I encountered a similar situation with Corsair Vengeance 3200 modules before. When upgrading from 16 gigabytes (2x8) to 32 (4x8), the RAM I bought was a different revision, causing memory stability issues. My fix was purchasing a certified 4x8 kit from G.Skill. While this isn't your exact case, it's something to consider. If none of your RAM is functioning and it worked before, you might need to thoroughly inspect everything. However, if you're upgrading from 16 to 32 gigabytes and facing problems, the scenario I described could apply. Diagnosing such issues requires direct interaction with the hardware.

It ended up being my CPU. I just brushed past the truth that the device was firmly attached to an older motherboard.
