everything appears to be active and configured, but hwinfo, throttlestop, antimicro, and hotautokeys fail to launch. They used to work before; it's unclear what changed. The remaining apps start up normally.

They didn’t appear to start from the tray. I checked my CPU temperature and throttle settings. I enabled antimicro to let me use the controller as a mouse/keyboard, but it stopped working. I’m seeing the Windows Defender, Realtek audio settings, and Intel updater—odd behavior.

Use the Task Scheduler to launch applications automatically. Certain programs may fail to start correctly if placed in the startup directory.

I resolved the issue by setting those programs to execute with admin privileges by default. I wasn't aware they needed the user account control verification during startup. I still require some applications to run with admin rights, so I used the Task Scheduler to get around that.
