New and old RAM from the same model
You just received a fresh batch of Crucial 8GB DDR3L-1600 RAM, matching the original model your PC came with. The main change is the age—your old RAM was about five years old. If you install the new RAM next to the old one, it shouldn’t cause major issues. Your motherboard supports dual-channel DDR3 and can handle up to 32GB, so compatibility looks good.
I did the same, combined RAM from 2015, 2017 and 2019 without any problems.
Highly improbable. Should the RAM share identical chips beneath, operate at matching speeds and capacities, any major issues after installation won't occur. For instance, if a module originally used DDR3-1333 and you swap in DDR3-1600, the board will run both at 1333 MHz—adjustments can't be made without swapping back to the original speed, making it unnecessary to purchase duplicates since the problem would resolve on its own. RAM labels may differ slightly, but the motherboard always respects the lowest common speed among all modules.
