New Omega updates are now available for AMD users. Don’t miss them! The speed boost is remarkable! I tested them with Assassin’s Creed Unity, which normally struggles, but now it runs smoothly at 28-45 FPS compared to my previous 20-25. The frame rate stays around 35 and drops to 28 occasionally. My system: FX 8320, 8GB RAM, R9 270x, CLR 3D RoyalQueen.

It appears to be the 14.12 driver, but its compatibility has expanded beyond just the R9 290(x) and R9 285. It may now support a broader range of GPUs.

Installed after a thorough cleaning with DDU. The main issue is limited new games to test it with... No errors since installation (something common with 14.4 and 14.9), which is encouraging. Still can't locate the VSR feature yet. Found it—digital flat panels, properties. I believe you should enable it per monitor individually, then select higher resolutions in the game. VSR seems unnecessary if you have multiple displays... The game now runs at 3200x1800 on a 1440p display, but menus aren't functioning and all other monitors are misaligned. It feels quite frustrating. Does DSR on the Nvidia side behave similarly? Does the game adjust resolution as well?

Several iterations of 3DMarks followed a short transition to a 5-minute gameplay segment after the 3Dmark phase.

The results should apply to any GCN-based GPU.

Farcry 4 at 3200x1800 displays beautifully. Performance improved noticeably, jumping from 50-62fps to 59-70fps. Mostly intended for AA-Lacking titles; 4K reserved for the 285 and 290 models.

It seems unlikely we'll find backing for old hardware. I believe AMD intends to discontinue support for both the HD 5000 and HD 6000 lines within the coming years.
