It looks like your idle temperatures are higher than expected. Check the cooling setup and ensure the fan is functioning properly. Also, verify that the case and heatsink are correctly installed. Consider cleaning dust from fans or adjusting airflow settings.
It's common for Ryzen to run at high idle, unless temperatures become an issue.
It's good to hear that. The previous CPU was a Ryzen 5 2600 and it was running at roughly half the power of the new one. Of course, the 5900X is definitely more capable, but it was a bit worrying when you didn't see those temperatures. I'll keep monitoring the load temperatures and track their performance.
My 5900x was idling between 45-55 with a solid airflow setup, featuring a 240mm AIO. It rarely exceeded 65°C during games, though it did surprise me at first. Now that I see its temperature while gaming is normal, it doesn’t bother me much.
Adjust your BIOS fan configuration: 50% speed at 40°C, 100% at 60°C. Monitor idle conditions.
