New 1000$ PC Build. 6600 Overclocking?
I just want to check if it's possible to overclock the Intel 6600 (non K) in a MSI Z170A SLI PLUS. What maximum GHz can I push it to? Should I opt for the 6600K for gaming purposes? If yes, how high can its overclock reach? Also, is my current setup suitable? Do I need any modifications? Just a quick build and I’m fine. No extra parts needed, just some basic stuff. Sorry, this is my first PC build :3
Here are the details of the PC I’m planning to assemble:
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600 or 6600K
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB TwinForger 6
MotherBoard: MSI Z170A SLI Plus
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master EVO 212
RAM: G.SKILL DDR4 8G PC4-19200 CL15 RIPJAWS VR (4Gx2)
