Never realized there were dedicated RAM options for Intel and AMD.
The compatibility charts exist mainly for those unsure about whether to use DDR3 or DDR4.
For DDR2 and DDR3, the RAM is exclusive to AMD because they offered more addressable memory per chip. This allowed using smaller, higher-capacity chips in sticks designed only for AMD, which meant either fitting more RAM into a single stick or reducing the cost compared to compatible Intel options. However, I’m not sure this applies to DDR4 anymore.
