Networking problems, missing gigabit speeds.
My device is restricted to 100Mbps. I'm using an Ethernet connection with a reliable Cat6 cable, yet performance caps at that speed. It appears each motherboard port links to a different network interface—this isn't uncommon, though I'm not sure if it's typical. I've already installed the latest Intel drivers, but the issue persists. During the Intel troubleshooting step to switch to "Auto negotiation," both adapters were already configured that way. I'm unsure what further actions to take. At the time the photo was captured, I was still connected via Intel® Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V.
Connect one end to your computer and determine where the other is plugged. Knowing the device’s make and model helps. Not every gadget supports 1GB, and linking it to a 10/100 switch limits your PC’s output to 100
This labeling from Netgear is really poor. Are you asking about a 10/100 port or also Gigabit capability?
The provided URL is specific to a particular motherboard model. It directs to a Gigabit port page on ASRock's website for the Intel X99E motherboard.
The device's network port only supports 10/100 speed, which explains the slower connection. Wi-Fi would perform better under ideal conditions compared to this port.
It was just a mistake then, really appreciate the assistance.
