Your device consumes a lot of your internet connection, but it struggles to reach higher speeds even when you're streaming or downloading. The download limits are set between 80 and 35-40 Mbps, yet performance drops significantly during downloads on platforms like Steam. Do you know any tips to improve this?
Steam will consume all your bandwidth, but you can limit it in the settings. Your router and Steam display speed differently—Router shows Mb/s (bits per second), Steam shows MB/s and bytes per second. Multiply Steam’s speed by 8 to convert to Mb/s. Even with 80 Mb/s, you should have sufficient capacity for overhead. How is your device connected to the router? Wired or wireless? And what does the connection speed indicate on your computer?
I'm running a speed test online and checking the connection. The results are as follows:
I've completed numerous speed tests, but I'm having trouble running them during Steam downloads. It seems the game reports a ping issue, and my wired connection drops quickly.
I'll attempt to turn off QOS, perhaps that could resolve the issue
Find the link speed details by checking your network settings or using a speed test tool.
I have a picture of what I receive, but when I begin downloading on Steam I can perform a speed test. However, when I attempt to upload, the process crashes entirely... These results come from the IPS.
